About the role



We are excited to launch a

brand-new Cricket Academy

for both boys and girls and are seeking an

enthusiastic and well-qualified Lead Cricket Coach

to develop and lead this programme. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape a high-quality cricket provision within the school community and nurture talent at all levels.

This part-time position is ideal for a motivated coach who wants to make a meaningful impact, inspiring students and building a cricketing culture from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities



Design and deliver an inclusive and ambitious cricket coaching programme for boys and girls across different age groups. Lead structured coaching sessions and organise competitive fixtures. Identify and support students with the potential to progress to county or professional pathways. Work collaboratively with PE staff and school leadership to embed cricket into the wider sports offer. Promote participation, engagement, and excellence in cricket for all students, regardless of background or ability. Ensure safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety standards are met at all times. Build external links with local clubs, governing bodies, and talent pathways where appropriate.

About you

The successful candidate will have:



ECB Level 2 Cricket Coaching qualification (minimum); Level 3 or equivalent desirable. Experience coaching young people in a school, club, or academy setting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire. A genuine passion for developing cricket opportunities for both boys and girls.
