Salary: \xc2\xa356,421- \xc2\xa362,690 + excellent rewards package

Location: Bristol Harbourside or Manchester

Hours: Full \xe2\x80\x93 time

Working Pattern: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site

Within Data & Machine Learning (DML), we work flexibly and operate a hybrid working pattern with teams & individuals mixing their time between home and office locations with a principle of 2-3 days a week on average in the office agreed at a team level to balance both individual needs and business outcomes.

Our team

The Data Product Delivery team are part of Data & Machine Learning (DML). We work together to tackle complicated data problems for LBG through building, implementing and supporting strategic technology solutions.

We\'re looking for a Data Analyst to work on Data initiative requirements. It is expected that this role will own and/or contribute to the management and delivery on a number of projects from initiation to completion, including working closely with colleagues from DMLand from across the Group on all aspects of delivering data projects.

They will ensure the fundamentals of Business Analysis excellence are achieved, this this includes governance including risk and issue management, planning and delivering value. They will have responsibility for specific deliverables/backlog items as part of the overall project.

As a Data Analyst of the Future, you should demonstrate a desire to develop their skills and experience, create space to learn and collaborate, demonstrate resilience and adaptability, confidence and a desire to innovate and test new ideas. They will understand, adopt and be able to select with confidence the most appropriate tools and methods to deliver change.

About You:

Essential Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong demonstrable experience of operating as a Business or Data Analyst within a large scale complex transformational data programme
  • Strong presentation and documentation skills to ensure designs are documented and presented clearly
  • Hands on experience using SQL to interrogate datasets and to derive insights
  • Some experience with data modelling concepts and the alignment of business requirements to a target data structure
  • Source to target mapping from source systems to target data structures
  • Solid understanding of business and data analysis techniques and their practical application
  • Proven experience of building and maintaining effective working relationships across teams and with both business and technical stakeholders
  • Evidence of leading a team of analysts, being a mentor and coach whilst handling a project of work
  • Adaptable \xe2\x80\x9ccan do\xe2\x80\x9d attitude when managing complex and ever-changing portfolio of work
  • Stakeholder management, and developing key personal and project networks
Desirable skills and knowledge
  • Hands on experience using SQL to interrogate datasets and to derive insights
  • Experience accessing and interrogating data via Google Cloud tools, e.g. BigQuery
  • Experience with Hadoop based technologies and concepts
  • Experience with data modelling concepts and the alignment of business requirements to a target data structure
  • Source to target mapping from source systems to target data structures
  • Familiarity with Banking and / or Finance systems and data
  • Familiarity with Property and / or HR systems and data
