What You'll Be Doing



Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the strategic roadmap for data architecture across Nexus, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technological advancements. Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of Data Solution Architects ensuring they are equipped to deliver high-quality, scalable data models and solutions. Collaboration: Partner closely with stake holders, enterprise architects, and department head to ensure the data architecture strategy supports business goals and objectives. Technical Guidance & Oversight: Provide hands-on technical leadership for the team, ensuring high standards in the design, development, and implementation data architecture. Data Governance & Compliance: Ensure data governance and compliance with regulatory requirements, data security standards, and best practices in data quality. Architectural Oversight: Serve as the ultimate approver for architectural designs, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and aligned with the organization's data strategy. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work across business units and IT teams to ensure data architecture aligns with current and future reporting and analytical requirements. Stakeholder Engagement: Regularly engage with stakeholders across the business, from technical teams to senior leadership, to present roadmaps and strategic initiatives. Resource Allocation & Project Management: Oversee project timelines and resource management, ensuring data solution architecture initiatives are completed on time, within scope, and deliver business value.

Your Skills and Experience



Essential



Proven Leadership in Data Solution Architecture: Extensive experience leading data solutions architecture teams and driving the development of enterprise-wide data platforms. Strategic Vision: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a forward-thinking data architecture strategy that aligns with business and technological goals. Cloud-Native Expertise: Strong knowledge of cloud-native data architectures, particularly within AWS, Azure, or Snowflake environments. Data Governance & Compliance: Deep understanding of data governance, compliance frameworks, and ensuring the integrity of data systems. Architectural Design & Review: Experience designing, reviewing, and approving data architecture models and solutions at a large scale. Experience with Financial Services: Familiarity with data challenges in financial services or other regulated industries, particularly around credit cards or payment solutions. Stakeholder Management: Proven track record of communicating and working effectively with senior stakeholders, technical teams, and business users to drive alignment. Data Solutions Expertise: In-depth knowledge of enterprise data solutions, including data warehousing and data modelling. Agile & Waterfall Methodologies: Familiarity with both agile and waterfall methodologies for managing large-scale data projects.

Desirable



Experience in a financial service specially Credit Cards or regulated industry Working on cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Snowflake) Experience on Stream Data processing and tools like Confluent Kafka Experience of design to handle similar data from various sources Design experience on Data Vault, Data Lake and Mart technologies in Cloud Experience using advanced SQL functions and query performance tuning Experience of design within a data science environment (AWS S3/ Jupyter notebooks) Experience of ETL technologies (e.g. AWS Glue, Informatica) Experience of Data Catalogue tools (e.g. Atlan, Collibra, Informatica) Working experience on data analysis/discovery languages like R, Python
