We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lead Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent patient care while assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality treatments. This position requires strong organisational skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a welcoming environment for our patients.
The candidate would have the opportunity to train for a management position and would help in organization of compliance documentation required for running the practice.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and ready for use.
Provide exceptional patient care by reassuring and supporting patients throughout their treatment.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner.
Sterilise instruments and manage infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, post-operative care, and oral hygiene instructions.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth clinic operations and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
Stay updated on the latest dental practices and technologies to enhance patient care.
Experience
Previous experience as a Dental Nurse is preferred but not essential; newly qualified nurses are encouraged to apply.
Strong IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling appointments efficiently.
Proficient in English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
A genuine passion for patient care and the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
