Job Description

Stockbridge Surgery is a small, friendly practice with an excellent reputation. We are seeking an experienced dispenser to join us as Lead Dispenser. You will work with our Dispensary Manager to supervise the daily operation of the team.

The successful applicant will work a minimum of 30 hours per week across 4 days a week, and must be willing to work 5 days a week when the Dispensary Manager is on planned leave.

Pay is dependent on experience.

Responsibilities

Supervise dispensary staff; ensure that team members are undertaking their assigned task/s; rearrange the rota if there is unexpected absence and manage any queries / requests for help from the team. Ensure that the Dispensary Manager is aware of any work which cannot be undertaken or is going to be significantly delayed because of staffing levels. Oversee the running of the Dispensary Team; ensuring that patients' needs are met and that clinical queries from the surgery team and local pharmacies are responded to in a timely manner. Take a lead in providing training and support to staff undertaking dispensary training and those who are newly qualified or need training in a new area of work. Be proactive in dealing with any problems which arise in the Dispensary by providing solutions and being willing to take responsibility for seeing these through.
