What you'll be doing
You will be responsible for the delivery of the Document Control for all SPT projects including leading the staff involved and ownership of document management system (DMS).Manage, mentor, and coordinate all document controllers across SPT Projects, ensuring consistent implementation of document control processes. This includes chairing monthly meetings and supporting performance appraisals, probation reviews, and objective setting.
Act as the main point of contact for the Document Management System (DMS), overseeing access, training, communication, issue resolution, and system development.
Serve as the business representative and subject matter expert (SME) for the future replacement of the current DMS, including defining requirements and evaluating proposed solutions.
Develop and maintain internal document inspections to ensure project documentation meets required standards, addressing any issues as they arise.
Lead onboarding, inductions, and training for new team members to ensure they are fully prepared for their roles.
Represent SPT Projects as a member of the Cambuslang Office Depot Management Team.
What you'll bringProven experience in leading and managing teams, both directly and functionally.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
In-depth knowledge of Document Management Systems (e.g., ACC Autodesk) and document control procedures.
Experience managing documentation across multiple projects.
Strong analytical and reporting skills.
Proficient in MS Office and database software.
Quality auditing qualification.
Experience with ISO 9001; ISO 19650 (BIM) is a plus.
Ability to work proactively and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Minimum CriteriaDemonstrated leadership experience.
Previous document control experience.
Ability to manage changing workloads and meet deadlines.
Proficient IT skills, particularly in Word, Excel, and database systems.
