Are you ready to take the next step in your Early Years career?
Do you want to feel part of a nurturing work family, while also stepping into a leadership role? We're looking for a
Lead
Early Years Educator
who's confident guiding others, passionate about outdoor learning, and ready to help lead our unique nursery school.
We're a small, close-knit team
with a big heart and a strong sense of humour (essential in this climate!). We support one another.
Now, we're looking for someone who not only brings warmth and experience, but can also take the reins when management aren't around.
What will your role involve?
Supporting, mentoring and inspiring staff day-to-day.
Leading the team confidently when management are off-site.
Role-modelling outstanding early years practice and child-led learning.
Helping to shape our outdoor adventures, spontaneous play, and seasonal explorations.
Building strong, trusting partnerships with families and the wider community.
Supporting safeguarding, health & safety, and smooth daily operations.
What are we looking for?
Someone with a
Level 3 or above
in Early Years Education.
Experience in a leadership or senior role--or ready to step into one.
A calm, thoughtful presence who can guide and support staff with empathy.
A confident communicator who isn't afraid to make decisions when needed.
A love of mud pies, bug hunts, puddle jumping, and story time under the trees.
Solid knowledge of safeguarding, and ideally first aid trained (or happy to train).
A team player who values laughter, flexibility, and the little moments that make a big difference.
We're an
outdoor-led
nursery based right at
Alvechurch train station
(on the Redditch to Birmingham line), and we believe in the wellbeing of our staff just as much as our children. That means no unnecessary paperwork, no out-of-hours expectations, and lots of support from hands-on owners who work alongside the team.
If you're passionate about child development, love working in nature, and feel ready to guide others while still getting your hands muddy, we'd love to hear from you.
