Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Electrician to oversee and execute electrical projects across various sites. The ideal candidate will possess extensive electrical experience, demonstrate strong leadership abilities, and be capable of managing a team. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, ensuring safety standards are maintained while delivering high-quality electrical installations and maintenance.

Duties

Lead and supervise a team of electricians, providing guidance and support throughout projects Plan, coordinate, and execute electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately Ensure all work complies with current electrical codes and safety regulations Utilise hand tools and power tools efficiently to complete tasks effectively Conduct inspections to identify faults or potential issues within electrical systems Troubleshoot complex electrical problems swiftly and effectively Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety checks undertaken Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure project specifications are met within deadlines

Skills

Prove experience in containment, wiring systems, first and second fix. Inspection and testing experience A good understanding of the regulations and ability to complete tasks inline with BS7671 Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage a team Good organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently

Qualifications

JIB Gold Card 2391 or equivalent Driving license

About McGuire Electrical

McGuire Electrical are a small electrical contractor growing year on year. We currently cover projects including residential, new builds, commercial including school fit outs, EICR's, remedials, care homes and reactive. We're built up of two teams including projects and reactive, this position is for the projects side but there may be cross over when required. Due to being a small contractor, there is a strong team morale and plenty room for growth.
