Role Overview:

As a Lead Engineer, you will spearhead the delivery of ground breaking engineering projects from conception to manufacture. This role demands a unique blend of technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and strong leadership skills. You'll be responsible for guiding projects through rapid development cycles, de-risking delivery for our clients efficiently and effectively.


We are currently looking for someone with a mechanical engineering bias, although our projects usually involve whole system integration and systems, therefore the role suits people who enjoy working in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver exceptional integrated solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage multi-disciplinary engineering projects, ensuring delivery to client requirements and solving complex technical challenges. Oversee project timelines and maintain high-quality standards. Facilitate effective communication and coordination across diverse technical teams. Identify and manage project risks proactively. Contribute to business development activities, including requirement interpretation and solution generation. Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on your projects. Drive continuous improvement of engineering capabilities within the team and wider business.

Qualifications:

Degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. Experience in developing engineering design solutions and delivering projects/products. Strong background in mechanical engineering background with demonstrable delivery of solutions in that field of expertise. Proven experience in working directly with hardware and machines. Experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams on technical projects. Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior engineers.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in 3D CAD systems (Autodesk Inventor preferred, but not essential). Familiarity with rapid prototyping techniques. Knowledge of industry-standard project management tools. Basic understanding of electrical engineering and software development principles.
