Long Clawson Dairy (Clawson Farms)



Based: Long Clawson (LE14 4PJ)



Salary: Up to 50,000 per annum Dependant on Experience + Great Benefits



Hours: Day Shift - Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

We are now seeking a Lead Engineer, to join the Clawson family situated in the picturesque village of Long Clawson, just 6 miles from Melton Mowbray.

We are an award-winning Heritage brand with a broad customer base. We have a dedicated team of engineers who manage the highly specialized equipment in our factories, whilst fixing breakdowns is a key part of the job, you will spend a significant amount of time in developing improvements and supporting the strategy of investment and installation of new equipment.

If you have experience in leading a small team of engineers in a food production environment or a related industry, you could be a perfect fit for this role.

What you'll do



Assisting the Engineering Manager in managing the workload and leading the team on site to ensure optimum Engineering Performance. You will have the opportunity to engage in the installation of new lines and the maintenance of existing kit. You will be encouraged to use your experience to suggest and implement improvements whilst having the opportunity to train in the tools and techniques that are required to stay up to date with the latest innovations in our industry.

To drive good practice in health, safety and environmental matters. Support the project team with modifications / installations.

Togetherness



Schedule jobs on the Agility system for their team. Use RCA (Root Cause Analysis) to prevent recurring issues. Support the development of their team members.

Integrity



To ensure that their team complies with all company policies and procedures including completing DRAs (Dynamic Risk Assessments) & food safety hand-backs for jobs. Issue permits and act as the permit controller. Ensure items are booked out of stores and any stock-outs are raised Complete shift reports accurately and to the required standard.

What are we looking for?



Time served apprentice or other appropriate qualification. Good understanding and experience of electrical/mechanical engineering Minimum 5 years' experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Leadership experience (small team) Knowledgeable of food factory protocols and systems of work. Understands the demands of the business. Works well with wider teams.
