TransPennine Express (TPE) is looking for a dynamic Lead Learning & Development Manager to lead our L&D strategy, ensuring that our people have the skills, knowledge, and confidence to deliver excellence for our customers, now and in the future.

What you'll be doing

Leading the design and delivery of TPE's learning and development strategy, aligned to business priorities, and driving innovation in learning. You will be overseeing the development and assurance of training, ensuring compliance and professional excellence. Collaboration with industry partners will be a key focus as we move towards the formation of Great British Railways (GBR). The ideal candidate can build strong partnerships with senior leaders, industry partners, and suppliers, and has the skills to lead, coach, and develop a high-performing L&D team. Using data and insights, you will measure the impact of learning, refine approaches, and continuously improve learning outcomes. As a leader in learning and development, you will represent TPE at cross-industry forums and contribute to sector-wide best practice.

What we're looking for

Experience in a L&D leadership role with a proven track record in designing and delivering learning strategies and programmes. You will have strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels. Experience leading high-performing teams and driving innovation in learning, with excellent programme management skills and commercial awareness. Knowledge of contemporary learning methods, digital learning technologies, and evaluation frameworks is key.
