WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Join our team as a Lead Maintenance Engineer and play a pivotal role in ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient maintenance operations at our Widnes site.



Ensure all maintenance activities comply with BASF and regulatory safety standards. Coordinate and schedule maintenance tasks and services aligned with production and site priorities. Manage and optimise CMMS for effective maintenance scheduling, inventory control and act as the primary technical contact for contractors. Manage and organise the daily workload and maintenance activities for the Maintenance Engineer. Act as the technical lead for complex faults and repairs when escalated from the Maintenance Engineer & Technical Operators.

WHAT YOU OFFER

Recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications (e.g. NVQ 2/3, A-Levels in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering). Proven experience in maintenance management and asset care within operational and project engineering roles. Strong understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems with hands-on troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills. Proficiency in CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems), SAP, and Microsoft Office. Excellent communication, planning, and mentoring abilities to support team development and stakeholder engagement.
