Job Description

Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter with a passion for quality, safety, and teamwork? We're looking for a skilled professional to lead the installation, testing and inspection of mechanical systems on construction sites.



This is a hands-on role where your expertise will directly contribute to the safe and successful delivery of complex mechanical and electrical (M&E) projects.

You'll also:


lead the mechanical installation of M&E systems, including large and small-bore pipework (ductile, stainless, carbon steel and plastic) carry out isolations and pressure testing independently, in line with E&M safety rules complete relevant certification and quality and assurance documentation support fault finding and commissioning activities maintain high standards of site safety, housekeeping, and waste management mentor junior fitters and apprentices, promoting best practices and continuous improvement coordinate with site supervisors and managers to ensure smooth progress of installations.

What you'll need

Experience in M&E installation within the water industry. Understanding of DSEAR applications and CompEx 11 certification. Proven competence in installing both large and small-bore pipework. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with minimal supervision. Authorisation to carry out isolations and pressure testing. Knowledge of WIMES, CDM 2015, and Construction Industry Safety Regulations. Strong communication and coordination skills, especially in multi-disciplinary environments.
