Priory Hospital Ticehurst is looking to recruit a Lead Occupational Therapist to join our team on the Acute Adult and Acute Private wards. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week.



Priory Hospital Ticehurst House's Highlands Unit is a welcoming, nine-bed facility, offering person-centred care, treatment and support for adults facing mental health challenges.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As Lead Occupational Therapist, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.



You will also:Work as part of a committed multi-disciplinary team to manage and coordinate individual treatment plans Engage patients in therapeutic and meaningful activities tailored to their needs Build strong working relationships with clinical and professional colleagues Supervise and support the development of junior staff, promoting effective performance and professional growth Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of each patient's rehabilitation progress

What you'll bring to the role

Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.



You'll be an HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist with strong communication skills, able to work independently and in a team. Experience with complex patients in inpatient mental health is ideal. Most importantly, you're passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
