Job Description

We are excited to offer an opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated, and forward-thinking pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Specialist Medicine Team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.



The team provides clinical pharmacy services across several specialties within the Specialist Medicine directorates. In this role, you will be the lead pharmacist for rheumatology services.



This is a really exciting opportunity for a pharmacist to work closely with rheumatology specialists in a fast moving area of practice to optimise patients' treatment.



We are looking for a self-motivated and organised individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be confident working with a wide range of healthcare professionals and comfortable using various IT systems and databases.



Supporting prescribing in rheumatology



Providing support to the biologics review clinics



Managing Homecare services and funding applications for high-cost medicines in rheumatology



Monitoring and processing Homecare prescriptions



developing pharmacist clinics in rheumatology



managing & developing a band 7 pharmacist (also 0.5WTE rheumatology)



developing and reviewing medicine pathways



Financial reporting (e.g. biosimilar savings, CIP schemes)



Guideline development and review



Formulary and interface work
