Clinical Lead Physiotherapist - MS Charity - Surrey - Make a difference that counts

The Samson Centre is a small charity focussed on improving the lives of people with MS. We pick up where the NHS cannot give support and offer so much more. We offer holistic on-going support throughout the MS journey. Our members come to the centre in Guildford regularly so you will be able to see the ongoing difference you have made using your physiotherapy skills and by witnessing the improvements in general wellbeing and happiness of so many people. At the moment, MS is an incurable condition and so we are always looking for new ways to improve lives and as lead physio you will be central to developing new approaches whether it is Pilates, kayaking, oxygen therapy, weight training, gym training, and tai chi which are a few of the things we currently offer.

There are leadership, management, learning and development and clinical aspects to this role. You will be leading a small team of physiotherapists and rehab assistants and also working with volunteers. We have close connections with Surrey and Brighton Universities and take students on placement.

We are looking for someone experience of MS/neuro rehab who will probably be at the NHS Band 8a or equivalent to work 18 to 24 hours per week. The clinical expertise in treating people with neurological conditions is essential but a willingness to continue to learn and develop, give people time and kindness are as important as experience in the this ever-evolving field.

Hours can be flexible, and salaries are linked to NHS bandings.
