Position Summary



PBS (Ponticelli) are looking for a Lead Planner to join our team. The individual will be responsible for overseeing the planning function for major projects, ensuring strategic alignment and effective management of all planning activities.


Lead the development of strategic project plans, including comprehensive schedules, resource allocation, and risk management. Manage and mentor the planning team, providing direction and support to ensure high-quality planning outputs. Integrate planning activities with overall project and program management efforts, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives. Monitor and assess project performance, providing recommendations for adjustments and improvements. Collaborate with key stakeholders to define requirements, provide updates, and address planning-related concerns. Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential impacts on project delivery. Prepare and present detailed planning reports, highlighting progress, risks, and performance metrics. Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and contractual obligations in all planning activities. Identify and drive improvements in planning processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Address and resolve complex planning issues, providing effective solutions to ensure project success.

Profile Wanted



Qualifications and Work Experience:




Essential: Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.


Essential: Previous experience in a senior or lead planning role within the energy sector.


Desirable: Advanced certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2).




Job Specific Knowledge:




Essential: Advanced knowledge of project planning principles and tools.


Desirable: Expertise in planning practices for large-scale energy projects.




Skills:




Essential: Strong leadership and team management skills.


Essential: Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills.


Essential: Proficiency in project planning software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).


Desirable: Experience with strategic planning and program management.
