We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for their play and development. As a Play Worker, you will be responsible for facilitating activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development in children.
Responsibilities
Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage creativity, teamwork, and learning.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive community.
Manage behaviour in a positive manner, promoting respect and inclusivity among all children.
Maintain a clean and organised play area, ensuring all resources are accessible and safe for use.
Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive approach to childcare and education.
Drive initiatives that support children's development in line with early childhood education principles.
Requirements
Must hold a Level 3 or higher approved qualification
Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Leadership qualities to guide children effectively during activities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm demeanour in a busy environment.
A background in early childhood education is advantageous but not essential.
A genuine passion for childcare and the ability to connect with children of various ages.
