We're on the lookout for a

Lead Playworker

to help shape our

Afterschool and Holiday Club

- a vibrant, inclusive, and joyful space where children are free to play, learn, explore and grow.

As our Lead Playworker, you'll be right at the heart of it all - leading a small, friendly team and designing imaginative, child-led experiences that leave a lasting impact.

The hours:

Term Time:

2PM - 6PM

Monday - Friday (20 hours)

School Holidays:

Schedule Varies -

40 hoursbetween 7am and 6pm in the school holidays on a rota basis.

What You'll Be Doing



Taking the lead in planning and delivering exciting, creative and meaningful play activities Supporting and inspiring a small team of playworkers to be their best Creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space where every child feels seen, supported and celebrated Building positive, trusting relationships with children, parents, and carers Encouraging children's independence, confidence, and imagination Managing daily operations in line with safeguarding, health & safety and Ofsted standards Contributing to snack times, themed days, outdoor adventures, messy play and more! Keeping records up to date (attendance, incidents, planning etc.) Bringing your own ideas to life and encouraging the same in others!

Who we are looking for



Essential:



Experience working with children in playwork, childcare, or youth settings Confident leading activities and guiding a small team Passionate about inclusive, child-centred play Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills A 'can-do' attitude, team spirit and big smile!

Desirable:



Level 3 in Playwork, Childcare or equivalent (or willingness to train) Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene certificates ( or willingness to train) Experience in an Ofsted-registered setting Knowledge of SEND and inclusive play principle

Other Details



Enhanced DBS check and references required Term-time hours with increased hours during school holidays Regular supervision and support provided
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.91 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week

Work Location: In person
