Salary:

NJC Grade D 26,824 - 28,598 FTE (This will be paid pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked)

Working Pattern:

This is a fixed term position working 12.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year until 31st August 2026 (Monday to Friday 15.15-17.45)


West Down School is seeking to recruit a caring, enthusiastic and motivated playworker to establish and lead a new afterschool club for our children.

Your Role Will Include:

Creating a fun and engaging activity programme Directing the work of the play assistant Supervising children during afterschool club. Encouraging healthy eating and positive social interaction. Ensuring the play spaces remain clean and safe. Promoting good behaviour and a caring atmosphere. Supporting children to complete their homework. Work alongside our admin team to promote the club, and coordinate bookings and billing.

What We're Looking For:

A warm and approachable personality. Patience and a genuine interest in supporting children and having fun. Ability to work well in a team. Reliability and punctuality.

Full training will be provided including paediatric first aid.
