Lead Product Designer


Clinical Partners is one of the UK's leading providers of mental health services, working across both private and NHS sectors to support individuals and families facing emotional and psychological challenges.


We're looking for a Lead Product Designer to lead the design of digital products for patients, clinicians, and partners all central to our mission of delivering outstanding, accessible mental health care.


As our first design hire, you'll define our design vision, embed design thinking across teams and lay the groundwork for a scalable design function. This hands-on, strategic role involves close collaboration with clinicians, engineers, and product managers to transform complex clinical and operational needs into intuitive, inclusive, and measurable digital experiences.


You'll have the rare opportunity to shape design culture from the ground up, working on products that truly impact lives, with the flexibility, autonomy, and support to grow alongside a passionate, purpose-driven team.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead design strategy across multiple products, shaping vision and influencing product direction. Embed design thinking into product development and organisational processes. Conduct user research with patients, clinicians, and internal users to uncover insights and opportunities. Design intuitive experiences through wireframes, prototypes, and scalable design systems. Establish design standards and practices that support future team growth. Collaborate cross-functionally to co-create solutions and advocate for design at all levels. Measure impact through experience KPIs and post-launch insights.

Requirements:



A strong portfolio showcasing user-centred design across web and mobile platforms. Experience in healthcare, education, or similarly complex environments. Expertise in UX/UI design, prototyping, and accessibility standards. Strategic thinking and leadership experience, with a passion for mentoring others. Proficiency in Figma (or equivalent) and design systems. A collaborative, empathetic, and pragmatic approach to solving problems.

Remuneration and Benefits:



90,000 annual salary 25 days paid holiday (increasing with service to 28 days) plus bank holidays. A day off for your birthday.
