About the role




At Transcend Retail Solutions, we help retailers around the world grow their online grocery businesses using the same technology that powers Tesco's 8bn e-commerce platform. We're part of the Tesco family but work like a startup -- fast-moving, collaborative, and driven by impact.

As a Lead Product Manager, you'll help shape the strategy behind our most important products and lead a small team of Product Managers. You'll work across teams to turn big ideas into real solutions that create value for our retail partners, their customers, and our colleagues.

Within the Transcend team you will be joining our efforts in developing relationships with our retailer partners. This will include some travel to visit our retailers directly or to meet them at industry conferences.

You will be responsible for



Evolving and driving the production vision, strategy, and the long-term roadmap Proactively partnering with peers and senior stakeholders (internally and externally) to set the future direction our your products as part of the wider Transcend strategy Understanding key user personas, customers & stakeholders for the products and their pain points Being accountable for the performance/adoption of the product (including sales performance to our retail partners), working towards achieving the Outcomes and Key Results (OKRs) Prioritising work and decisively resolving trade-offs with peers and senior leaders; intelligently navigate competing priorities set by our retail partners Effectively documenting and explaining new requirements to the engineering team using user stories with acceptance criteria and helping the team in breaking down complex work into smaller, deliverable chunks of value that can be delivered faster Steering sprint/release planning sessions by working with engineering counterparts. Planning sprints/releases that deliver maximum business value in least effort Driving the acceptance and adoption of ideas and improvements with product teams and engineering stakeholders Prioritising, coordinating, and communicating the resolution of live product issues independently Providing leadership and direction to cross functional teams on short-term tasks and near-term priorities Identifying and removing impediments faced by the team; proactively flagging any risks or delays in your commitments Building and nurturing a great team of Product Managers for your products, based on the business needs, strategic priorities assigned, and level of focus required Empowering and developing your team to continually develop value


You will need



A track record of launching and improving digital products in fast-paced environments

Experience managing or mentoring product managers

Strong communication skills -- you can explain the "why" as well as the "what."

Understanding concepts of machine learning and AI to products you create, working with data scientists and engineers to deliver value through product

. Strong understanding of UX/UI disciplines and principles
