Oversees and coordinates the daily activities of departments and teams in our manufacturing/production environments.
As an integral part of the Operations Planning Department, the Lead Operations Planner will be responsible for managing the operations planning activity for the business.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Through the ERP/MRP System manage Operations workflow, from Kitting, through Assembly, through Final Test into stock.
Lead schedule coordination, creation, and maintenance.
Use Master Schedules as a forecast tool to place orders for required parts.
Leading a team of planners to manage scheduling activities.
Developing working relationships.
Integrating new products and programmes in planning and logistics processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
5 GCSE's Grade C or above including English and Maths
EXPERIENCE
IFS or other ERP/MRP system experience is essential.
Previous planning experience is essential.
Leadership / management skills.
Leading change processes.
Microsoft office competence.
Good communication skills.
Experience implementing new processes and procedures.
PC and data analysis.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS
Strong computer literacy and a good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook is essential.
Ability to work with detailed information in a structured fashion.
Excellent communication skills.
