Lead Professor - Science of Sound Holiday Camps & Clubs

Location:

Sutton and Croydon (schools to be confirmed for winter holiday camp)

Pay:

12.50 per hour

Hours:

2 lessons per day within a 4-hour period (ongoing recruitment)

About the Role:

Are you passionate about making science fun and inspiring for children? We are seeking creative, reliable, and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Lead Professors for our Science of Sound holiday camps, after-school clubs, and birthday parties. This is a unique opportunity to work with children aged 5-12, delivering engaging science modules that spark curiosity and excitement.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver science learning modules in a fun, confident, and engaging manner, making science enjoyable for children aged 5-12. Take responsibility for the safety, enjoyment, feeding, and caretaking of all children attending sessions. Set up classrooms and learning deliverables, ensuring sessions are impressive to schools, children, and parents. Work on-site, primarily in schools across Sutton and Croydon. Lead and coordinate Assistant Professors to ensure smooth and successful delivery of all sessions. Report directly to the Director.

What We're Looking For

No formal qualifications required; a passion for science and working with children is crucial. Science GCSE or above is desirable but not essential. Creativity, teamwork, reliability, attention to detail, patience, and a passion to learn and teach. Willingness to undergo a DBS check and safeguarding training (required).
