Channel 4 technology has undergone a transformation programme which has outsourced and consolidated several IT Service and delivery providers as well as internal improvements in relation to business engagement activities. Our ITSM & InfoSec Programme Delivery team is currently leading the implementation of Transformation, BAU, Fix The Basics & Minor Changes Infrastructure Projects; as well as managing a portfolio of InfoSec projects to bolster our information security capabilities through strategic improvements across governance, tooling, security awareness and improved security measures.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Working within a dedicated IT Service & Infosec management team, the Lead project manager is responsible for leading the project activities from inception to handover, this includes, but is not limited to, business case definition, project scoping and requirements gathering through to delivery. You will also lead and motivate project teams as well as manage the end-to-end delivery of multiple technology projects across various business functions including the successful management of project budget, resources, issues, risks to meet set deadlines. You will work on an array of projects mostly including traditional End user computing, new business initiative, Infosec and infrastructure etc.
The right candidate must be experienced in working with outsourced delivery partners teams and in addition to being an excellent project manager must have strong assurance and influencing skills to lead the project delivery teams (internal an external to channel4) to the right outcomes for Channel4.
JOB PURPOSE
Your key objectives are:
Delivering the project to time, budget and schedule in line with business success criteria and customer satisfaction, taking action where these deviate from agreed tolerances
Demonstrate and apply good project governance on all projects within your delivery area
Collaborating with, and managing 3rd party suppliers to drive successful business outcomes
Identifying and managing project level risks, issues, opportunities, and dependencies, and managing early escalation and resolution.
Developing and managing realistic PIDs, project plans, RAIDs, identifying and recording lessons learned as part of project closure
Providing accurate and timely reporting to stakeholders at various levels
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Liaising with a variety of internal stakeholders, such as engineers, customer managers and business solutions team, to ensure the secure process of starting a project before then communicating with the customers directly
Efficiently managing the project during every stage, monitoring all aspects of it
Managing risk, change and escalation using the appropriate tools within project management to ensure the best outcomes
Creating appropriate reports and/or logs for when the projects are closing
Ensuring budgets are managed throughout the project and that resources are used responsibly
Additional duties as and when required by the team
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
To succeed in this role, you will have extensive experience in large scale transformation environments you will be an excellent multi-tasker and have strong influencing Skills. The ideal candidate will be an experienced project manager with extensive experience of working with outsourced partners with the ability to be flexible on delivery method both Agile and waterfall experience is required.
AGILE, PRINCE or similar programme management qualification
Experience delivering high quality IT projects
Experience of delivering projects via outsourced partners in a matrix management environment
A proven track record in delivering IT projects
Demonstratable experience of collaboration and cross functional using waterfall and agile project delivery methodologies
Experience of working on enterprise-wide projects and successfully managing suppliers as part of the project delivery team
Proven experience of successfully delivering business outcomes such as business change delivery within the project
Proficient understanding of project lifecycle management
Transformation Programme experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Strong attention to detail, ability to organize, and analytical capability
Basic salary per annum starting from
67,813.00
