WHAT TO EXPECT

This role will work on leading all aspects relating to Vehicle structures Quality, problem resolutions for in field vehicle Line activities, monitoring quality systems, through to design improvements and model year updates. The aim will be to achieve targets in all areas. Ultimately, the role will contribute to the delivery of Quality targets for each vehicle line.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of quality improvements within Vehicle Structures, including but not limited to:
  • Lead the update, revision and control of all DFMEA & DRBFMs across vehicle structures in line with latest corporate metrics.
  • Prevent Recurrence AIMS, leading the creation, acceptance, delivery and resolution.
  • Lead Failure Mode Avoidance activities within Structures.
  • Lead Vehicles Structures improvements with respect to warranty, R/1000, A/1000, TGW, White Alerts, Grey Alerts.
  • Support the Lead Service Engineer in resolution of vehicle Technical Assistance (TA) queries.
  • Lead the resolution of Engineering owned Vehicle Structures IQM projects.
  • Inform and publicise new requirements and rules to the wider team.
  • Lead the Lessons Learned process within vehicle structures, ensuring regular, timely, review and feedback, robust risk analysis and resolution plans.
WHAT YOU NEED
  • Experience of cross functional co-ordination capability in Engineering, Manufacturing, Service or Quality
  • Knowledge of Quality Operating Systems procedures & deliverables
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Experience of developing and creating DFMEAs
  • Knowledge and experience of writing and releasing standards, test procedures, test cases
  • Experience of problem solving tools e.g. 6 panel, PPS (8D), FMEA, Robustness, etc
  • Knowledge of Vehicle structures (BIW and frames)
  • CAD Catia V5/Vis Mockup
