We're looking for an experienced and compassionate practitioner to join our children's home as a Lead Residential Care Practitioner. You'll lead shifts, mentor junior staff, and ensure our young people receive the consistency, safety, and emotional support they deserve.

Typical Shift Patterns Include:
8:00am - 11:00pm (followed by a sleep-in)
8:00am - 8:00pm
3:00pm - 11:00pm (followed by a sleep-in)
Occasionally, waking nights (8:00pm - 8:00am) -- always planned in advance with you

Key Responsibilities:
Lead shifts with professionalism, clarity, and consistency
Provide trauma-informed care and behavioural support to young people aged 8-17
Delegate tasks and mentor junior staff during shifts
Contribute to care planning, incident reporting, and compliance monitoring
Support the Registered Manager and Deputy with inspections, supervisions, and audits
What We're Looking For:
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential)
Minimum 2 years' experience in children's residential care
Experience leading shifts and supervising others
Confident in safeguarding, risk assessment, and regulatory expectations
Full UK driving licence
Emotionally intelligent, calm, and committed to high standards of care
