We are seeking a skilled and passionate Lead Seamstress/Tailor Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing garment construction and alterations, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship while providing exceptional customer service. Your expertise in sewing and fashion retail will be essential in delivering tailored solutions that meet our clients' needs.

Duties

Lead the sewing team in executing alterations and custom garment construction with precision and attention to detail. Utilize sewing machines and various tools to create, modify, and repair garments according to specifications. Collaborate with customers to understand their requirements, providing expert advice on fabric choices, styles, and fit. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and operational. Train and mentor junior seamstresses/tailors on best practices in sewing techniques and garment construction. Conduct quality control checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards for craftsmanship. Manage inventory of fabrics, threads, and other materials necessary for production.

Qualifications

Proven experience in fashion retail or a similar environment is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Proficiency in operating sewing machines and knowledge of various sewing techniques. In-depth understanding of garment construction processes from start to finish.
