Are you passionate about designing and developing the next generation of trading platforms? Asset Wealth Management is seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to focus on building cutting-edge Order Management Systems (OMS) on both Public (AWS) and Private cloud environments.


As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Asset and Wealth Management team, you are an integral part of our global agile team, you will work to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you will be responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions, all in support of the firm's business objectives.


In this role, you will work across a range of modern technology solutions, writing code and integrating cloud technologies to create innovative solutions that empower our Wealth Managers and Private Bankers globally to perform investments and trading functions. Your contributions will be vital in achieving significant business impact





Job responsibilities



Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus Anticipate dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements Serve as an integral member of the development team to create practical solutions in Agile/DevOps environment Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills



Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and advanced applied experience Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Experience with cloud infrastructure and solutions (AWS) and Container/Orchestration (Kubernetes), Integration patterns and messaging technologies such as JMS, MQ, Kafka Strong skills around object oriented analysis and design (OOAD),Design principles and Design patterns with ability to trouble shoot and debug an application for any application issues Advanced in one or more languages such as Java and SpringBoot Experience working with RDBMS systems and SQL (Postgres and Oracle) Ability to multi-task and also work independently in order to meet the committed deadline Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security Experience with integrating Elasticsearch and Redis into applications. Practical cloud experience with Public Clouds such as AWS

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills



Experience working in a financial services company environment. Familiarity with Java technologies such as reactive programming and Webflux. Ability to innovate and propose solutions to solve business problems * Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
