The Role



We are seeking an experienced

Lead Solar Installer

to join our team.

The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Plan, coordinate, and install solar PV systems on commercial properties.

Manage crew and other installers, maintaining metrics and meeting quantitative and qualitative goals (safety, efficiency, quality, productivity).

Conduct site assessments to determine the suitability and optimal placement of solar panels.

Ensure the safety of all team members, adhering to all safety protocols and standards during installation

Provide toolbox talks and project briefings to other site operatives on the project delivery team.

Collaborate with the design team to ensure proper layout and integration of the system.

Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on existing solar PV systems.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Complete necessary documentation and Quality reporting for each project.

Conduct necessary project safety documentation and inspections.

Provide excellent customer service and address any client concerns or queries.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends, products, and best practices.

Essential Skills:



Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience solar or construction projects preferred

Proficient in using hand tools

Ability to read and work from technical drawings and measurement specs

Physically fit and comfortable working with large materials and equipment

Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision

Commitment to health & safety practices and use of PPE

Other



Must be legally entitled to work in the UK and/or EU and be fluent in English.

Flexibility to travel to project sites around the UK

Preferred SSSTS/SMSTS or equivalent qualification
