About the Role
EHU hosts the Hub of the NWEITA that has operational oversight of all delivery providers in the Academy.
This role will largely be remote working within the Hub of NWEITA.
This is a new fixed term post to help support and develop the NWEITA activities relating to clinical ultrasound given the national crisis in this area of imaging provision.
Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

• Contributing to the development of the NWEITA, within the context/vision of the NHS England NWEITA as set out in the relevant NHSE contracts and education learning agreement.
• Executing appropriate profession specific strategic/operational leadership for the ultrasound activities of NWEITA, including, but not exclusively:
• Have strategic oversight and lead the operational execution of the Sonographers - Expansion of Numbers of the Essential Workforce (SENEW) project to ensure that the project is delivered in deadline.
• Participate actively in the weekly Senior Management Team meetings, Operational Management Group and other internal/external stakeholder meetings as required.
• Liaise with NHS England, NHS Trusts, Universities, Imaging Networks and other external stakeholders and other services as appropriate to ensure a collegiate approach to the delivery of the functions of the NWEITA relating to clinical ultrasound as required.

Working with the NWEITA Academy Director and the wider Senior Management Team, the Lead Sonographer will develop and lead on the strategic and operational objectives relating to clinical ultrasound. You will make key contributions to advancing the NWEITA ultrasound activities with all the relevant stakeholders, commensurate with meeting the national and local ultrasound related objectives and metrics for imaging academies as set down by NHS England.

About You
You will have successful experience in working at a senior level within ultrasound imaging in relation to education and training which has proven successful leadership. You will have Up-to-date knowledge of key issues and debates in professional issues, and education and training needs for ultrasound imaging across a variety of professional roles. You will also have the ability to work with networks and external stakeholders to facilitate development and delivery of courses that meet the needs of clinical imaging service requirements for education and training.
