An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Technician- Workforce Development and Medicines Management Technician, Band 7 to join our Pharmacy Team at The London Clinic. The London Clinic's Pharmacy Department are a close-knit team with around 45 staff members. The Pharmacy department comprises of 9 core services: On Call, Dispensary Services, Distribution and Top Up Service, Procurement, Clinical Ward Pharmacy Services, Provision of Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN), Aseptic/Technical Services, Clinical Governance and Education and Training. We have extensive oncology services, including a purpose-built chemotherapy aseptic compounding suite.
As well as an automated medication dispensing system which supports decentralised medicine management in numerous wards. The Lead Technician Workforce Development and Medicines Management is responsible for leading the education and training strategy for the pharmacy department, including Pharmacists (in collaboration with the Lead pharmacists), technicians, students, Assistant Technical Officers (ATOs) and apprentices. The post holder will lead and manage the Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician (MMPT) ward-based service, ensuring high standards of patient care and medicines optimisation. They will also support Accredited Checking Technicians (ACTs) in the dispensary, contributing to safe and efficient dispensing processes.
