We are looking for a motivated person to #JoinUs as Leadership and Talent Support Intern in our Learning and Development Department. Could you be who we are looking for?



We are a small team based in the Learning and Development department who coordinate, design and deliver development opportunities for our identified talent across the force, supporting the implementation of Our Delivery Plan in creating our future leaders and an engaged workforce which is representative of the communities that we serve.


We are looking for someone with the skills, experience and enthusiasm to undertake this new role and make positive contribution to the development of our talented officers and staff.

About the role and your key responsibilities:

To provide administrative support to the Leadership and Talent Development Manager and to the Performance and Organisational Development (OD) Manager who are responsible for the Talent Framework and the design and delivery of individual leadership and team development products.


Activities could include:



Supporting the continued development and growth of the new Talent Framework, analysing data, providing summary reports and developing systems and processes to manage and coordinate talent related activities. Managing and updating leadership and talent pages of the Learning and Development internal website. Coordinating meetings, events and invitations to development opportunities. providing administrative support as necessary. Supporting the Leadership and Talent Manager with the evaluation and review of talent programmes.

What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:

Studying in a relevant discipline, or with transferrable knowledge, you will be able to demonstrate some knowledge in the field of leadership or learning and development. Attitude and adaptability to change will be key for this role.


We are keen to hear from you if you:

are highly competent with Microsoft systems and have previous administrative experience - particularly in Microsoft Excel. have a proactive approach to problem solving. can work under pressure, to deadlines, exercising personal judgement.

It is essential that you can speak Welsh to a conversational level or are willing to develop this skill during your employment with us.

Qualification Criteria

To be eligible you must be working towards a degree and be in your 'sandwich year' / 'year in industry' (between years 2 and 3) in a relevant subject. A relevant subject may include:
