Who We Are

JINGDONG Logistics

is China's leading technology-driven supply chain solutions and logistics services provider. With a mission of driving superior efficiency and sustainability for the global supply chain through technology, the company is committed to becoming the world's most trusted supply chain infrastructure service provider.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical

Lean Improvements Specialist

to join our operations team. This role is responsible for identifying operational inefficiencies, driving process optimisation initiatives, and implementing lean methodologies across our pick-pack-dispatch (PPD) network. You will help improve cost control, resource planning, and overall operational effectiveness while supporting large-scale transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute capacity planning models across all stages of PPD logistics. Align staffing and scheduling plans with operational targets and market demand. Oversee cost management, ensuring accurate rate setting, system posting, and exception reporting. Lead annual and monthly resource allocation planning in support of cost rate targets. Monitor and analyse operational efficiency; propose and implement scenario-based improvements. Promote performance incentive schemes for frontline staff; resolve operational feedback issues. Design and execute assessment frameworks for site leaders, ensuring KPI alignment and monthly performance tracking. Build custom subsidy or bonus plans for unique operational scenarios. Manage third-party logistics settlement: contract follow-up, performance metrics, and financial reconciliation. Track and report T-1 cost indicators such as unit cost, efficiency rates, and load ratios. Monitor in-house fleet efficiency; diagnose and resolve low-performance or low-attendance issues. Optimise third-party fleet use through vehicle-type matching and load factor improvement. Conduct cost modelling and scenario planning for major logistics changes (e.g. route redesign, fleet expansion, site consolidation). Benchmark internal vs external logistics costs to guide make-or-buy transport decisions. Establish a lean innovation system for sorting centres, focused on boosting efficiency and reducing cost. Apply lean tools to drive site-based process improvements; lead lean knowledge transfer and training.

What We're Looking For

Skills & Experience

Strong understanding of PPD operations, logistics structures, and resource planning. Proven ability to analyse complex data and translate insights into actionable process improvements. Practical experience applying lean methodology within logistics or supply chain operations. Experience with workforce incentive schemes and performance-based planning. Familiar with both internal operations and third-party logistics (3PL) management and cost control. Comfortable using lean tools (e.g. value stream mapping, root cause analysis, Kaizen) in a logistics environment. Experience in operational planning, systems thinking, and team leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or above in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related fields. 3-5 years of experience in logistics operations, continuous improvement, or lean project delivery. Clear and structured thinking; strong numerical and communication skills.

What We Offer

A key role in a fast-growing, innovation-driven logistics organisation. The opportunity to lead impactful change and help shape best-in-class operations. Competitive salary and full benefits package. A dynamic, inclusive work culture focused on excellence and growth.
