About You


You will be approachable, organised, and committed to supporting young people to achieve their goals. We are looking for someone who brings:


Level 4 qualification in Advice & Guidance (or equivalent). Experience working with young people, preferably in education, youth, or community settings. Confidence in engaging employers and coordinating work placements. Strong communication, mentoring, and problem-solving skills. A sound understanding of safeguarding, inclusivity, and the challenges young people may face. Good digital and organisational skills, with experience using CRM or learner management systems such as APTEM. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential

Learner Recruitment & IAG Coordinator

, supporting young people across

West Bromwich and Coventry

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, as the role requires regular travel between our centres and other settings.


In this dynamic and rewarding role, you will play a key part in guiding learners through every stage of their journey - from initial recruitment and induction through to progression into further education, training, or employment.


You will work closely with referral partners, schools, employers, and internal teams to ensure each learner receives the tailored support they need to thrive.


Your key responsibilities will include:


Proactively recruiting learners and delivering engaging onboarding and induction sessions Coordinating meaningful and personalised work placements with local employers Providing one-to-one mentoring, advice and guidance, helping learners build confidence and direction Supporting those facing personal, social, or educational challenges to overcome barriers to learning Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with safeguarding, funding, and data requirements

Safeguarding responsibilities: This role will involve daily contact with learners, and you will be engaging in regulated activity relevant to children. All staff have a responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people, and/or vulnerable adults for whom you are responsible and with whom you come into contact. The Charity's Safeguarding Policy is available from Central YMCA website.
