About Think4ward



Think4ward delivers bespoke, student -centred mentoring for young people (typically 11-18) who need an alternative approach to learning and life skills. We blend practical activities (sport & fitness, arts/digital media, community engagement, life skills) with clear routines, goals and safeguarding best practice.

The Role



You'll mentor young people 1:1 (occasionally small groups) at home, in the community, and agreed venues. You'll build positive routines, support emotional regulation, promote healthy choices, and help learners re-engage with education and community life.

Key responsibilities



Plan and deliver purposeful sessions tailored to individual needs and targets Model pro-social behaviour, boundaries, and consistent routines Record attendance, progress and safeguarding notes clearly and on time Liaise professionally with parents/carers, schools and local authority partners Uphold all Think4ward policies (Safeguarding, Health & Safety, GDPR, Code of Conduct)

You'll need



UK driving licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle for work (business insurance required) Experience working with young people with SEMH/SEND and/or challenging behaviour Strong communication, de-escalation and relationship-building skills Confidence delivering practical activities (e.g., gym/fitness, cooking, life skills, creative media) High standards of professionalism, punctuality and record-keeping

Desirable



Relevant qualifications (youth work, education, coaching, mentoring, safeguarding, first aid) Knowledge of ASDAN or similar frameworks

Hours & Flexibility



This is a freelance-style role paid via PAYE; you will be notified of available assignments within your local area and can choose to apply for those that suit your availability.

Work is typically within school hours. Hours can grow as placements increase.

Perfect for Uni students studying within education or parent's who need to work around child care and need a few hours a week!

We require all our mentors to be signed up to the DBS Update Service.
