As a Learning and Development manager, you will be responsible for identifying training and development needs within Morgan Sindall Nuclear. This role will work closely with management teams to promote and help develop the technical and professional capability within the Nuclear business.

As the Learning and Development manager you will work closely with each of the Nuclear Projects working across partnerships, alliances, and framework. You will build the capability and expertise required to enable out teams to work in complex and demanding nuclear environments where they develop, maintain, and improve infrastructure assets.

Key ResponsibilitIes

  • Develop a solid understanding of the business needs to design and deliver the Learning and Development elements of the people strategy for the business unit.
  • Support the Senior HR Business Partner with the talent management and succession agenda through the promotion of existing tools or where required design and delivery of bespoke solutions linked to identified talent development needs.
  • Work closely with Morgan Sindall Infrastructure to promote the use within the Business Unit of the Morgan Sindall Academy platform.
  • Building strong external relationships with key suppliers
  • Provide support and challenge to line managers to foster a learning culture across the business and to support them with the development of their teams
  • Embracing different styles of training techniques, including e-learning, tutorial sessions or coaching
  • Managing the allocated budget and an ability to find solutions in order to implement the required training.
  • Prepare feedback and reports on L&D, projects, training and targets and accomplishments.
  • Working with Infrastructure to review and manage the early careers programme for Nuclear to ensure the supply and retention of our future talent.
Qualifications, training, and technical knowledge
  • Ideally Qualified to CIPD level 5-7 or equivalent learning and development qualification.
  • Demonstrates a high level of influencing and persuasion skills at all levels.
  • Significant experience and practice of diagnosis, design, delivery and measurement of learning and development initiatives
  • Strong L&D background with business partnering experience, ideally gained within a complex multi-sector business, multi-site business.
  • Strong coaching and delivery experience.
