*UWTSD is proud to be an Accredited Living Wage Employer. The Voluntary Living Wage (VLW) rate of 12.60/per hour is to be implemented on 1st April 2025. We will apply an adjustment to the hourly rate of pay for this role to increase it to 13.96 per hour
- THE ROLE -
The post holder will support the creation of high-quality, professional, innovative digital resources and learning content for distribution on platforms including the University's Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
Working with Digital Services colleagues, academic staff and subject matter experts from within the University, and external contacts where appropriate the post holder will offer advice and provide support with the design and delivery of content for online, distance and blended learning courses. The post holder should have a positive, proactive and flexible approach to their work. They should be highly motivated, and able to work autonomously and cooperatively with others. A positive, personable and problem-solving approach is essential, as is the ability to show initiative and adaptability.
The post will work in a fast-paced, professional environment and will be expected to work to tight deadlines such as:
- Collaborating with Digital Services colleagues, academic staff, and subject matter experts to design digital learning content and resources that align with identified user requirements, using a variety of multimedia applications, and ensuring quality through technical review and testing prior to sign-off.
- Ensuring all learning content developed adheres to the editorial style, design, quality specifications and pedagogical guidelines that have been defined, and complies with relevant University and digital learning policies, such as those defining accessibility, copyright and Intellectual Property standards
- Supporting Digital Services colleagues to ensure that key milestones are met during projects and identifying, resolving or escalating issues as appropriate.
- Building and / or uploading content to online learning platforms, ensuring all content is presented accurately, logically, and in compliance with agreed templates, specifications and standards for that project
- Maintaining a high level of continuing professional development to update own awareness of relevant external developments and best practice for similar provision with benchmark institutions / external bodies
This role will have a Swansea or Carmarthen campus base, but should be able and prepared to work at home, and at other locations as necessary.

- Annual leave entitlement is 28 days', plus 8 bank holidays and 4 University closure days pro rata
