The vacancy




We're now looking for a Learning & Development Manager to cover a maternity leave for 12 - 14 months (FTC), starting January 2026. This is a part-time role, ideally three days a week with a flexible working pattern.




You will be based in either our Southampton and/or Guildford site and will be expected to travel to other Moore Barlow sites to include Woking, Richmond, Lymington and London (depending on business need). This role will provide a combination of in-office and working from home options too.

You'll lead the delivery of our core learning offering from developing leadership and high-performing teams, to embedding our values and behaviours. You'll work closely with People Business Partners to identify skills gaps and provide smart, just-in-time solutions.

You will also:



Design and deliver learning programmes focused on leadership, critical business processes, values, and team development. Partner with People Business Partners to identify needs and create relevant, outcome-driven learning solutions. Drive a positive learning culture that is inclusive, accessible and aligned with the firm's strategic priorities. Manage the L&D budget and making effective use of the Apprenticeship Levy. Ensure compliance with professional and regulatory training record requirements Produce quarterly reports for senior stakeholders Monitor and evaluate learning effectiveness, using feedback and data to drive continuous improvement

What we look for:



Experience managing end-to-end L&D programmes. Strong facilitation, consultancy and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders. Strong organisational, project and budget management skills. Passion for delivering accessible and impactful learning.
Desirable:

Experience in a law firm or legal education setting. Licensed in psychometric tools. Knowledge of apprenticeship frameworks and provider relationships. Understanding of how to influence performance through culture.
