Our staff training & development plays a vital part of our business, and due to continued growth, we are expanding our existing Learning & Development team and now have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Learning & Development Officer / Trainer to further support our Debt Recovery department. This new role will work alongside our Learning & Development Manager to strengthen the support offered to all teams in our Debt Recovery Department.
The successful candidate will need to preferably demonstrate an understanding of the debt services sector and working in the regulatory environments of either SRA or FCA with a proven track record for collaborative working with a range of different stakeholders. You must have excellent presentation and communication skills with experience working with smaller and larger groups, both remote and face-to-face interactions. Problem solving and innovation are key required skills to ensure the correct solutions are offered to support the organisational goals of the department and Firm. Being able to manage an organise your time and diary effectively is an important skill that the successful candidate will need to demonstrate. A flare for creative thinking is essential for material design. Working alongside the Learning & Development Manager, you will identify, design, develop, and deliver training material and training workshops based on the needs of the business and the individuals working in it.
Although being CIPD qualified is not a requirement for this role, ideally you will be at least CIPD Level 3 qualified or working towards this qualification.
This is a full-time permanent position, based at our head office in Derby but with travel to our other sites, including Leeds and Swansea when required.
Key Responsibilities
Identify training and development needs within the debt services division of Flint Bishop
Design training and development programs based on the needs of the business and the individuals working in it.
Deliver and continuously develop an effective induction program for all new staff, monitor and review the progress of new staff through their induction program and initial training through to 'sign-off' of competence in role.
Devise individual learning plans for colleagues and monitor progress.
Produce training materials for in-house courses.
Create and/or deliver a range of training using classroom and online learning.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training and development programs, amend and revise programs as necessary, to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment.
Support line managers to solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups
Research new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning and present this research.
Work closely with and influence Team Leaders and stakeholders.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Previous experience working within a Debt Recovery or regulated environment such as SRA or FCA would be desirable.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
An innovative thinker with the ability to generate ideas for new material design.
Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills.
Have excellent time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
CIPD Level 3 qualified or studying towards would be desirable however not essential.
