Company Description

As a Learning and Development Partner you will work on a \'field\' basis (we are flexible on where you reside as the role will be working from home with a field based requirement for delivering training on sites at our Pubs). Your role will be working as a Divisional Learning and Development Team, the Learning and Development Partner supports the delivery of all learning needs for the Division, leveraging central support by building quality relationships across the business.

The Learning and Development Partner is responsible for delivering on site trainings and embedding excellent learning solutions, acting as an ambassador for Greene King and the Division through delivering engaging and impactful L&D solutions for all in-pub teams.

The Learning and Development Partner inputs and supports embedding the learning and development elements of the Divisional HR agenda, working to deliver the people strategy and championing people innovation.

A great and highly varied role that suits an experienced Learning and Development professional that that is comfortable being field based, spending time delivering training at various sites across a geographical coverage and can manage their own availability to attend training events.

Your role as Learning and Development Partner will be responsible for:

Learning and Development Partnering
  • Responsible for delivery of Divisional learning strategy, including input on the design and development of learning solutions for all in-pub roles.
  • Input to the People and Culture team on the technical and leadership development programmes at Management Team level in Division.
  • Build good relationships with the wider HR team, providing the information needed to manage the development of the GMAM/KMs in their part of the business.
  • Manage key stakeholder relationships to ensure the in-pub training structure and tools are being used effectively
Talent
  • Accountable for delivery and execution of development programmes, including Divisionally led development programmes.
  • Supports cross-divisionally on centrally-driven development programmes.
  • Supports the wider cultural initiatives that drive a representative and inclusive talent pipeline across the Division.
  • Facilitation of talent programme where appropriate, and facilitating a joined-up managed pubs approach where applicable.
Learning Design
  • Input to and participate in reviews of programme as required to improve effectiveness.
  • Responsible for inputting and influencing with Divisional requirements on learning content design and development.
  • Build good relationships with the central L&D Team to support the delivery of new content/materials for the business.
Delivery & Facilitation
  • Responsible for the organisation and delivery of the PLT Induction workshops, and other core courses as required.
  • Ownership of facilitating and delivering workshops to support the Divisional people learning strategy.
  • Responsible for delivery of the agreed standards and SLAs and measure and feedback against these.
  • Delivery of learning solutions including induction courses, Divisional development, and talent programmes where appropriate.
  • Providing learning expertise and support to our operations team in a professional and commercial way, whilst always driving the culture, vision and values of Greene King.
  • Key member and influencer within the HR Team, inputting solutions in relation to culture and strategy, and ensuring Divisional requirements are considered where appropriate.
  • Providing astute partnering on discrete pieces of design and development, ensuring we offer great learning interventions that support the needs of the business.
  • Working with the central L&D Solutions Team to input on design, development and implementation of learning requirements where required.
  • Facilitation of measurement and analysis of effectiveness of learning solutions.

  • Experience of working in a consultative capacity offering specialist advice and coaching in relation to L&D
  • Confident and credible partnering skills and stakeholder management
  • Confident and credible in delivering to delegates and wider audiences, both in person and on-line
  • Dynamic and can use thinking skills to analyse, decide, priorities and plan, managing several programme/projects at the same time
  • Role models inclusive behavior with exceptional communication & influencing skills
  • High energy and ability to work at pace whilst maintaining accuracy
  • Experience of working in the retail/leisure/hospitality sector in L&D delivery role
  • Strong evidence of leading and implementing Brand centric learning solutions
  • Understanding of the technical and system aspects of the hospitality business
  • Proven experience of interpreting L&D requirements and gap analysis from business strategy to action
