Learning Disability Support Worker
Job Description
Job Summary: 35 -38 hours a week post
We are seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker to provide care and support to adults with learning disabilities. The ideal candidate should have experience in providing compassionate support.
Duties:
- Provide emotional support and companionship to the individual
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Implement behavior management strategies to support individuals with challenging behaviors
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs (if required)
- Maintain accurate records of care provided
Requirements:
-Experience in PBS/PBM ESSENTIAL
- Experience in disability support, hospice care, or related fields
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures
- Ability to provide compassionate and person-centered care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license for transportation
(MUST BE OVER 25 YEARS OF AGE AND HAVE HELD DRIVING LICENCE FOR AT LEAST 2 YEARS FOR INSURANCE PURPOSES)
