Support Educate and Nurture

Sense Education are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary School in Carlisle. With an immediate start.

The position is to support in a class with pupils with additional needs. You will be supporting the teacher and working in collaboration with other TAs in delivering lessons tailored to the pupils ability.

The school has a holistic approach to learning considering the pupils educational and development needs. You will be supporting pupils with EHCPs or pupils that are going through analysis for an EHCP. Lessons are dynamic, fun and creative.

The ideal person for the role

Teaching assistant qualification A passion for working with Primary age students Passion for working with young people with Autism and other additional needs. Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
School hours are 8.30 - 3.30 - we are looking for someone who is available Monday through Friday but will consider Part time applications on a job share basis.

As such we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in Schools. If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process. If you take a temporary role with Sense Education you will be paid on a weekly basis.
