A qualified Learning Support Assistant is being recruited to work in our thriving childcare setting in Cramlington!

The post is based at Two Little Dickie Birds/St Paul's Pre-School in the busy town of Cramlington. The nursery is located within the school grounds of Ss. Peter and Paul's Catholic Academy.

Our provision is purpose built and self-contained with its own secure gardens. We offer rich learning experiences for children supported and nurtured by experienced, qualified and passionate staff.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, smiley and forward-thinking practitioner with proven successful experience in 'early years' childcare catering to the needs of children under 4.

There may be some flexibility in working hours but initially, we are looking for someone who could work part time at 20 hours per week working 8.45am - 12.45pm daily. Any variation of this should be discussed with the nursery manager in the first instance, either before or during the application process.

The business is open 7.30am until 6.00pm and there may be the opportunity to work additional hours, depending on the needs of the nursery.

Salary: 12.25 per hour for qualified candidates

Essential criteria:

A positive attitude and commitment to deliver excellent education and care to every child, every day. Enthusiastic and committed to parent partnership and the staff team. A minimum Level 3 or above qualification in childcare. A working knowledge of EYFS and OFSTED Statutory guidance. Excellent communication skills both oral and written. Two years past experience within an early years setting is desirable. A working knowledge of safeguarding and child protection. Ability to work between 7.15am and 6.00pm, attend staff meetings and training courses outside of working hours as and when needed.
