We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) on a fixed term contract to join our vibrant and supportive team at Eden School.
About us:
Eden School provides individualised SEN education within a therapeutic learning environment for young people aged 6-16 with autism and learning difficulties who previously had difficulties attending school or sustaining a school placement.
About the Role:
As an LSA you will work closely with the lead LSA and teaching staff to provide tailored support to pupils with a variety of additional needs, helping them access the curriculum and develop both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of SEN including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and speech and language needs
Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
Support pupils with personal care, where necessary
Promote positive behaviour and support emotional wellbeing
Help track progress and contribute to reports and planning for individual students
Communicate effectively with staff, parents, carers and external agencies
What we are looking for:
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential)
A patient, empathetic, and resilient attitude
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A willingness to undertake relevant training (e.g., safeguarding, Team Teach)
Enhanced DBS Compliance
