About us
Birribi is a small Children's Care and Education provider based in West Wales, but we have some big ideas! We strive for Innovation in all our work!
Our children have a wide range of complex needs and presentations, with Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and Trauma often underpinning presenting issues, such as ASD, ADHD and Neuro-developmental diversity.
Our model is medium to long-term therapeutic residential group-home care, integrating care, education and therapy in young person-centred approach. We have invested in excellent resources in the homes, classrooms and a dedicated Outdoor Learning Centre and Care Farm. Our educational offer is highly aspirational and seeks to engage young people in a wide range of positive learning experiences and enable them to achieve to their potential.
Our on-site education offer provision, in small schools, is for pupils aged 8-18 who are at risk of exclusion, permanently excluded from or are not attending mainstream school for other reasons, such as developmental challenges - whether social or emotional and have been placed within Birribi's Residential homes.
Birribi's core offer is to provide longer term placements where we can work therapeutically with young people, with the aim of re-integration into a mainstream setting where possible.
Whatever the context of the placement, a pupils' progress is assessed and monitored at all stages of their placement to ensure that provision remains appropriate and is outcome focussed.
