### Job Summary
Are you passionate about supporting children's emotional well-being and academic success? We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mentor to guide young learners through their personal and educational development. This role is pivotal in fostering a supportive environment where children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs can thrive.
### Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized mentoring, adapting support to suit each child's emotional and learning needs.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies that promote emotional regulation, resilience, and positive social interactions.
- Assist with academic tutoring, particularly in Maths, ensuring concepts are understood and applied in a way that builds confidence.
- Design and deliver engaging educational activities tailored to children's developmental and emotional stages.
- Collaborate closely with parents, teachers, and specialists to create personalized support plans for each child.
- Apply trauma-informed approaches and positive reinforcement techniques to foster independence and skill development.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback, ensuring continuous growth and support for students.
### Required Skills & Qualifications
? Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and SEMH support techniques.
? Experience in early childhood care, particularly toddler care and emotional development.
? Background in special education or SEMH-focused mentoring.
? Knowledge of speech and language therapy approaches (beneficial but not essential).
? Familiarity with therapeutic techniques such as mindfulness, play therapy, or applied behaviour analysis.
? Excellent mentoring skills with a passion for empowering and inspiring children.
? Strong tutoring abilities, particularly in Maths, tailored to students' individual needs.
? Patient, empathetic, and skilled in building strong, trusting relationships with children and families.
