dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
to join our friendly and supportive team at one of our Primary Schools in Sheerness. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development in a nurturing, inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with additional learning needs.
Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
Help create a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment.
Support pupils in developing social, emotional, and academic skills.
Prepare and adapt learning resources under the guidance of teaching staff.
Assist with the general running of the classroom and school day.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with primary-aged children, particularly those with SEN or additional needs.
A patient, caring, and flexible approach to supporting children.
Good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths preferred).
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
A willingness to learn and take part in relevant training and development.
An NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential for the right candidate with relevant experience and a passion for the role.
