Job Description

HEROS are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated tutors and assistants with a strong passion for the outdoors, animals, craft, or baking to join our dynamic team. HEROS is set on a 200 acre stud farm in an AONB, and boasts around 100 horses, multiple bird species, goats and other animals and invertebrates to enhance student learning. We work with small groups of up to eight students (to three members of staff), using the therapeutic qualities of the animals and the landscape to support young people. This role involves supporting a diverse range of learners in a variety of engaging activities, including forest-based sessions, outdoor cooking, animal interactions, and adventurous learning experiences.

You will collaborate with a committed team focused on enhancing outcomes and fostering personal growth in young people through nature-based education. This part-time, term-time position may also require collaboration with our equine, animal and arts and crafts departments, offering a hybrid role that provides a diverse and rewarding work environment.

This role is well suited high quality individuals with a background in education, health and social care or outdoor-based activities and a genuine passion for working with SEN students with a range of social and personal challenges in nature and with animals. A love for the outdoors and a positive, enthusiastic approach are essential. Working at HEROS offers a unique and rewarding experience. While prior experience is desirable, it is not essential -- full training and ongoing support will be provided to candidates who demonstrate the right qualities and commitment.

Pay: 12.21-13.46 per hour
