We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to provide essential support for pupils with additional needs. This role is crucial in fostering an inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive. The ideal candidates will have a strong commitment to enhancing the educational experience of students with diverse learning requirements, including those with autism and other disabilities.
Duties
Assist teachers in delivering tailored educational programmes for pupils with additional needs.
Provide one-on-one support to students, helping them engage with the curriculum and develop their skills.
Foster a positive learning atmosphere by encouraging participation and building confidence among students.
Implement strategies to support communication and social skills development for children with autism and other disabilities.
Collaborate with teaching staff to monitor student progress and adapt learning approaches as necessary.
Maintain a safe and supportive environment, ensuring the wellbeing of all pupils during classroom activities.
Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in special education and effective teaching methods.
Experience
Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs or disabilities, is highly desirable.
Familiarity with teaching methodologies and strategies tailored for pupils with autism or other developmental challenges.
Strong communication skills, enabling effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
Experience early years education is an advantage.
A background in special education or related fields will be beneficial.
